Koala Sofa Bed [3rd Gen]

The sofa is perfect. Very pleased with color, I went with off white. The fabric is soft. It is very easy to open the sofa into a bed. I love that it is comfortable for seating not to low, but when opened for a bed it is low to the ground. Just what I was looking for to accommodate little ones to sleep over. You never have to worry that they will fall out of the bed. Thank you for this beautiful soft sofa bed.

I finally replaced my old IKEA Ektorp clunker, which to be fair, has survived multiple moves but was definitely not the most comfortable of sofabeds, or even sofas. Our apartment is pretty small so I knew we needed something that would work in the space and actually be comfortable to sit on, but convert to a guest bed when we needed it. And actually be a guest bed that didn't have our overnight guests asking for the number of a chiropractor the next morning. I looked at a lot of options, including West Elm and more IKEA, but this seemed to have just what I was looking for, simple to assemble, nice neutral colors that I could zhuzh up with colorful pillows and change as needed, relatively easy for one person to move, comfortable seating and a very acceptable guest bed. And it also wasn't wildly overpriced like most other options.

It came in 4 big boxes that I could actually move by myself, and I built it in place. Assembly would definitely have been easier with another person to at least hold things steady, but I managed. We've had it for about a month now, and so far it's been a champ. It's true that you need to give it a few days for the pillows and mattress to decompress and fluff up to their proper size, but it's really no big deal.

I ordered this sleeper sofa largely because I needed something that I could put together inside my study/guest room. It turned out to be a breeze to construct—I did it alone in less than 2 hours, and I’m not big or strong! It’s really attractive too! And now I have my son and his wife sleeping on it until their own house is ready. They say it’s very comfortable—so much better than traditional sleeper sofas. So my satisfaction level is through the roof! Thank you, Koala!
